Keeping Children Safe in Education for September 2022 Published

The latest version of Keeping Children Safe in Education has now been published and came into force on 1st September 2022.

In the video, specialist safeguarding consultant, Andrew Hall, looks at the main developments in the new Keeping Children Safe in Education (2022) statutory guidance document. There is a lot to take in and many of the changes will need to be incorporated in the school's policies and procedures. The most important changes are that school governors should now have safeguarding training to help with their statutory duties; and that Designated Safeguarding Leads should understand what to do when the police search children in school.
